Leveraging its advanced Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) technology, AluHouse has delivered Hong Kong’s first concrete MiC rural public toilet — the Ho Pui Village Toilet (Contract No. TC L519).

The project comprises 12 meticulously designed concrete MiC modules and 23 precast (PC) components, including prefabricated parapets, skylights, and water tank bases. The primary structure, over 90% of MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) services, and interior finishes were all completed within the factory. By adopting the “off-site prefabrication and on-site hoisting” model, construction efficiency was increased by 30% compared to traditional cast-in-situ methods, effectively shortening the overall construction period by one-third.

Furthermore, the project achieved a 95% reduction in construction waste and a 75% decrease in noise and dust. By minimizing on-site wet trades and cross-trade interfacing, the project significantly enhanced both construction quality and site safety.
