HONG KONG, September 10, 2026 — At the Belt and Road Summit 2026 in Hong Kong, AluHouse Group, a global leader in Modular Integrated Construction (MiC), signed three Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Australian partners Northland Group Pty Ltd, DCF Property Group, and Up Modular Pty Ltd, marking a key step in its Australian market strategy.

Responding to Australia’s Housing Challenge

 Australia’s housing shortage has developed over decades, The Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) projects a shortfall of 380,000 homes by 2030. In response, the Australian government is promoting Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), with supporting funding exceeding AUD 174 million. The Productivity Commission estimates MMC can cut build times by 20–50% and costs by around 20%, yet MMC penetration in new housing remains below 5%.
