AluHouse Wins Bid for Aluminum Alloy Exterior Wall Panel Project for 116 Modular Apartment Units

Recently, AluHouse successfully won the bid for the aluminum alloy exterior wall panel system works for a modular apartment project in Karratha, Western Australia. The project is located in the core mining and energy region of Pilbara, Western Australia, where mining and natural gas industries are highly concentrated. Due to the long-standing shortage of worker accommodation for mining companies, there is an urgent demand for efficient, rapidly deployable modern construction solutions.

The project consists of four three-storey rental apartment buildings distributed across three separate sites, providing a total of 116 residential units. Unit layouts range from one-bedroom to three-bedroom apartments, with the largest unit reaching 235 square meters. Community amenities such as a swimming pool and gymnasium are also included. The project adopts steel-structured modular construction, using flexible combinations of standardized modules to meet diverse layout requirements, with a total of 329 modules. AluHouse will supply the aluminum alloy exterior wall system for all MiC modules, with delivery scheduled to commence in September 2026.

 

 

The Karratha region in Western Australia features a hot, arid climate and a high bushfire risk rating, placing extremely demanding engineering requirements on building fire resistance, weather resistance, and performance under extreme environmental conditions.
