AluHouse wins the US multifamily housing project, accelerating large-scale deliveries

Recently, AluHouse achieved another major breakthrough in the North American market by successfully winning the bid for a multi-story apartment residential project in Los Angeles. This marks AluHouse’s second modular building project delivered in North America, signaling its official transition in the region from “capability validation” to a new stage of scaled delivery.

The project is located in the core urban area of Los Angeles and is planned as a 7-story rental apartment building. It will be constructed using steel-structure MiC (Modular Integrated Construction) technology, with the supply and manufacture of 100 residential units, fully compliant with California building standards. By leveraging industrialized construction methods, the project will significantly reduce on-site construction intensity while greatly improving construction efficiency and delivery certainty.

AluHouse’s North American expansion did not happen overnight. In 2025, the company signed its first Los Angeles apartment project and successfully completed mock-up module acceptance, achieving its “zero-to-one” breakthrough in the North American market. In April this year, AluHouse made its debut at the MBI World of Modular exhibition in the United States, officially launching its North American steel-structure technology system solution while also establishing a localized operations team in North America.

From the execution of its first order, to its presence at the exhibition, and now to winning this second project, AluHouse’s path in North America has become increasingly clear — this is not a short-term market trial, but a strategy of sustained and deep-rooted expansion.

As a seasoned Hong Kong MiC company with more than 200 projects and 38,000 modules delivered globally, AluHouse is not simply transplanting domestic solutions overseas. Instead, it has carried out deep adaptation to the U.S. building code system: from ICC and UL material and design certifications to HUD-OL factory certification, AluHouse has established a complete North American compliant delivery capability, providing local developers with low-risk, highly certain high-density residential solutions.

AluHouse is one of the few manufacturers in the world that simultaneously masters three major modular construction systems: steel structure, concrete structure, and aluminum alloy structure. Its business spans markets including Hong Kong, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Saudi Arabia. In terms of production capacity, its Greater Bay Area base has an annual capacity of 48,000 modules, while its Saudi Arabia base is currently under construction with a planned annual capacity of 30,000 modules, providing solid support for project delivery worldwide.

In the United States, with California as its starting point, AluHouse has established a localized service team and operational system covering project development, design certification, material compliance, factory production, and on-site installation. The successful award of this second project is not only another real-world validation of high-density residential solutions in the U.S. market, but also an industrialized response to the demand for high-density urban living, continuously injecting momentum into its global strategic expansion.
