HONG KONG – May 29, 2024 – The annual sustainability flagship event, the “Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Contribution Awards 2026” ceremony, hosted by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA), successfully concluded in Hong Kong on May 29th.

As a pioneering manufacturer in the modular construction industry, AluHouse was recognized for its consistently outstanding performance in Modular Integrated Construction (MiC), receiving six Gold Accolades for Contributions to Livable City Architecture, in addition to the prestigious “Outstanding Contribution Award for Livable City Architecture.”

This marks the fourth consecutive year AluHouse has been honored with the “Outstanding Contribution Award for Livable City Architecture.” The award recognizes the company’s exceptional contributions to the development of livable cities and its unwavering commitment to promoting efficient construction practices. Distinguishing itself among a strong field of entrants, this achievement serves as a strong affirmation of AluHouse’s leadership in driving the low-carbon transformation of the construction industry and implementing highly efficient building solutions.

The Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Contribution Awards, hosted by HKQAA, stands as a highly authoritative and influential accolade in Hong Kong’s green and sustainability sector, commanding international credibility and industry impact. Its stringent evaluation framework encompasses diverse core dimensions such as green building, low-carbon development, and ESG governance, all benchmarked against international standards. This prestigious award has thus become a crucial benchmark for assessing corporate sustainability performance.

Over the past year, leveraging its exceptional professional expertise and robust production capacity, AluHouse has successfully and extensively applied Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) technology in numerous large-scale public projects across Hong Kong, directly contributing to community well-being. By virtue of its outstanding performance in livable city development, the company secured six “Gold Accolades for Contributions to Livable City Architecture (Promoting Efficient Building Supply Solutions).” These impactful projects include: two special schools on Renfrew Road, Kowloon Tong; Public Housing at San Kwai Street; Transitional Housing at Sheung On Street, Chai Wan; Transitional Housing at Tsing Fat Street, Tuen Mun; the Hang Tau Tsuen Public Toilet Project in North District, Hong Kong; and the Ho Pui Tsuen Public Toilet Project in Yuen Long.

Ranging from large-scale public and transitional housing projects to specialized educational facilities and intricate small-scale community modules, this diverse portfolio of successfully delivered projects has significantly accelerated the construction timeline for Hong Kong’s social infrastructure. Furthermore, these initiatives have effectively mitigated the impact of on-site construction on surrounding communities and the environment. This unequivocally showcases AluHouse’s comprehensive strength and industry leadership in advancing efficient building applications.

At the awards ceremony, AluHouse Director Paul Law, when sharing his insights on sustainable development and future vision, emphasized: “True sustainability is never merely an environmental ‘afterthought’ post-completion, but rather an integrated process spanning the entire project lifecycle – from research and development, design, and production to hoisting and final installation. The low-carbon attributes and lifecycle of a building are fundamentally determined the moment the first drawing is made.”

Driven by this forward-thinking vision, AluHouse has broken down the fragmented silos of the traditional construction industry by fully implementing a comprehensive, one-stop service model encompassing design, production, transportation, hoisting, installation, and after-sales support. Under this highly integrated model, AluHouse significantly front-loads the application of energy-saving and emission-reduction technologies. For instance, at the initial design phase, our R&D team utilizes advanced technologies such as digital BIM (Building Information Modeling) and novel material research to perform precise calculations, thereby maximally reducing material waste and embodied carbon emissions right from the source. Furthermore, we proactively integrate scalable technical interfaces to facilitate green and low-carbon operation throughout the building’s lifespan.

As a leading high-end manufacturing and construction technology enterprise rooted in Hong Kong, AluHouse consistently aligns with the HKSAR Government’s policy initiatives to promote “speed, efficiency, quantity, and quality” in housing development. Being recognized with The Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Contribution Awards for the fourth consecutive year serves as the ultimate testament to AluHouse’s unwavering commitment to its founding principles, continuous technological innovation, and steadfast execution of its commitments.

In response to the increasingly urgent global climate challenges and the pressing demand for high-quality urban living in the future, AluHouse will significantly intensify its R&D efforts in areas such as the development of green and low-carbon building materials, highly automated Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) production, and digital and intelligent logistics optimization. AluHouse will collaborate with its upstream and downstream supply chain partners and all sectors of society to collectively transform efficient, green, and environmentally friendly construction philosophies into tangible and actionable business practices.

Under the motto, “Technology for a better life, Green building for Hong Kong’s future,” AluHouse will continue to leverage its leading advantage in the modular construction sector. We are dedicated to building a high-quality, livable city for Hong Kong and making sustained and substantial contributions towards the city’s carbon neutrality goals.
