Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – January 15 – During the Future Minerals Forum 2026 held in Riyadh, AluHouse, ALUPCO, and the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), witnessed by high-level leadership from the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources (MIM) and the National Industrial Development Center (NIDC).

Mr. Eric Kwong, Chairman of AluHouse and Vice Chairman of AAG Asia Aluminum Group, attended the ceremony and formally signed the MOU with MODON on behalf of the company. The agreement jointly announces the plan to construct the nation’s largest integrated aluminum processing and modular construction industrial base in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in AluHouse’s globalization strategy and its expansion into the Middle East market. MODON will provide essential support, including industrial park land, infrastructure, and favorable policies, to jointly propel Saudi Arabia’s aluminum processing and modular construction industries into a new phase of development.

As a key industrial development project under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the construction of this base aims to drive the rapid development of the aluminum processing and modular construction industries through localized production, thereby enhancing the Kingdom’s economic strength and international competitiveness. The project will focus on core business areas such as aluminum profile manufacturing, modular construction, and solar panel frames, with the goal of establishing it as the largest and most comprehensively equipped aluminum processing industrial base in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.

According to the agreement, the project will be developed in two phases, with a projected total investment of up to $500 million. Covering a planned area of 150 hectares, the project will introduce advanced international production technologies and management expertise, and will include the construction of several core production zones, including aluminum profile production lines and MiC building factories. Once fully operational, the base is expected to create over 1,800 jobs and inject new vitality into the local Saudi economy.

Following the successful signing ceremony, all parties will immediately commence intensive project preparation and implementation. As one of the key participants, AluHouse is fully committed to advancing the land planning and construction work to ensure the base becomes operational at the earliest possible date.
