Exclusive to Hong Kong Enterprises! AluHouse Wins

On 23 June, the Development Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Guangdong Province jointly organised the "Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) Industry Development Week" in both Guangdong and Hong Kong, aiming to further promote the coordinated development of the MiC modular construction industry and deepen technical exchanges and cooperation between the two regions in this field.

At the launch ceremony, the "Guangdong-Hong Kong 'Assembly and Integration' Modular Construction Cross-Border Trade Guide" was officially released. This guide will provide supply chain enterprises with a clearer process reference framework, strongly promoting the convenience and efficiency of 'assembly and integration' cross-border trade. At the same time, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao 'Assembly and Integration' Modular Construction Industry Development Alliance was officially inaugurated, promoting the construction of a collaborative development ecosystem for the modular construction industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Secretary for Development of Hong Kong, Mr. Ning Hanhao, stated in his speech at the inauguration ceremony: 'Guangdong Province is the main production base for "assembled composite" components within the Greater Bay Area, while Hong Kong has advantages in research and development and overseas promotion within the region. The Development Bureau will continue to work closely with the Guangdong provincial government to jointly develop the Greater Bay Area into a centre for "assembled composite" construction technology and building, and to promote this technology as a new form of productive force and as an advantageous industry on the international stage.'

At the launch ceremony, the Hong Kong Institute of Construction Technology held the inaugural certificate presentation for the "Modular Integrated Construction Manufacturers Accreditation Scheme (MiC-MAS)". AluHouse, with its outstanding capabilities, became the only private Hong Kong enterprise in the industry to receive dual MiC-MAS certification for both steel and concrete structures. Mr Han Zhijiang, Chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Construction Technology, personally presented these two important certification certificates to AluHouse. Eric Kwong, Chairman of AluHouse, and Mr Paul Law, Director, went on stage to receive the certification certificates for steel and concrete structures on behalf of the company.

It is understood that the 'modular construction' manufacturer accreditation programme can enhance industry confidence in the quality of 'modular construction' buildings, help strengthen the 'modular construction' supply chain, and meet the growing local demand for 'modular construction' projects.

AluHouse was founded in 2014 and is a construction technology company dedicated to research and development, design, production, supply, and installation services in the field of Modular Integrated Construction (MiC). The company's headquarters is located in Hong Kong, and it has established a 'Greater Bay Area MiC Super Factory' covering approximately 6.5 square kilometres in the Guangdong Zhaoqing High-tech Zone, with an annual production capacity of up to 48,000 MiC modules.

As a large advanced enterprise with one-stop MiC research and development and production capabilities, AluHouse has established three major product systems: concrete, steel structure, and aluminium structure. Relying on advanced MiC technology and excellent supply chain management capabilities, it has successfully developed a diversified MiC technology and product system, covering a variety of scenarios including residential buildings, schools, hospitals, and dormitories.

The approval of the 'Modular Assembly' manufacturer recognition programme is a testament to AluHouse's comprehensive manufacturing capability in modular assembly construction. Looking ahead, with the continuous advancement of the Guangdong-Hong Kong 'Modular Assembly' construction industry development week and the ongoing improvement of the collaborative development ecosystem in the Bay Area's modular construction industry, AluHouse will work hand in hand with the industry to jointly advance a new chapter in the modular assembly construction sector, contributing to the high-quality development of the construction industry in the Greater Bay Area and the achievement of green and low-carbon transformation.
