Recently, the first batch of precast concrete components for the Hong Kong Tai Wo Hau Road Phase 1 and Phase 2 public housing projects supplied by AluHouse (hereinafter referred to as the "Tai Wo Hau Project") has been successfully produced and is now being transported to the construction site in Hong Kong for installation.

The owner of the Tai Wo Hau project is the Hong Kong Housing Authority, and the main contractor is Winway Construction. The precast concrete components being delivered this time will be used in the second phase of the Tai Wo Hau project, and once completed, they will provide better housing security for Hong Kong residents.

The Tai Wo Hau Road public housing project is located in the Kwai Chung area. The project is divided into Phase 1 and Phase 2. Phase 1 adjoins Kwai Chung Estate, Yan Kwai House, and Tai Wo Hau Road, consisting of a 35-storey residential building with 554 residential units. Phase 2 adjoins Kwai Shing East Estate and Kwai Shing Wai, consisting of a 38-storey residential building with 383 residential units.

The project aims to construct high-quality public housing to address the growing housing demand in Hong Kong and to make full use of existing community facilities through reasonable spatial planning. Upon the completion of the two phases, the Tai Wo Hau project is expected to further enhance the residential environment in the Hong Kong area and provide nearly a thousand Hong Kong families with comfortable and livable homes.

As the supplier of precast concrete components for this project, AluHouse is responsible for providing more than 6,420 concrete elements for two high-rise residential buildings, including balustrades and aluminium windows, staircases, wall panels, garbage chutes and other types, which will be used in critical parts of the Da Wokou project residential buildings.

AluHouse strictly adheres to the Hong Kong building standards system, ensuring that the entire process, from material approval, drawing review, production, to quality inspection, complies with the standards of the Hong Kong Housing Authority. The Fosha components shipped this time utilise the aluminium window system independently developed and manufactured by AluHouse. Notably, the aluminium window production line has an annual capacity of 100,000 square metres and features an integrated automated line for cutting, window sash and frame assembly, hardware installation, and finished product packaging, capable of meeting the aluminium window requirements of the Da Wo Kou project.

The construction model of 'factory prefabrication and on-site assembly' fully demonstrates the advantages of intelligent manufacturing and industry chain collaboration, providing the Hong Kong construction sector with a more efficient, environmentally friendly, and economical solution.

In the future, with the advancement of large-scale development projects such as the northern metropolitan area, AluHouse may leverage its strong production capacity to promote the construction of public housing in Hong Kong, helping to continuously optimise public housing waiting times and fulfil the housing aspirations of more citizens.
