On 6 November, the prestigious "Construction Industry Council Outstanding Contractor Award 2024", often regarded as the 'Oscars of the construction industry', was grandly held in Hong Kong. This award, presented once every three years, is a highly anticipated event in the industry. The award aims to recognise contractors who have demonstrated outstanding performance in areas such as safety culture, corporate innovation, promotion of professionalism, integrity management, industry youth development, as well as environmental, social, and corporate governance.
AluHouse, with its outstanding performance in prefabricated modular construction (MiC) and the application of innovative technology, received the highest number of nominations in all contractor categories at the Construction Industry Council Outstanding Contractor Awards 2024 and was honoured with the "Corporate Innovation Award" in the Outstanding Contractor Awards by the Construction Industry Council.


The awards ceremony was organised by the Construction Industry Council, attended by many distinguished guests including Ms Winnie Ning, Secretary for Development of the Hong Kong Development Bureau, Engineer Liu Junjie, Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), Mr Cheung Kar-lo, Director of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Independent Commission Against Corruption, Mr Zheng Dingning, Executive Director of the Construction Industry Council, Mr Poon Lok-ki, Chairman of the Organising Committee, and Engineer Ho On-ching, Chairman of the Construction Industry Council, to jointly witness the grand event.
The awards are divided into four categories: "Major Contractors," "Contractors," "Specialist Contractors," and "Decoration and Maintenance Contractors," covering 21 awards including the prestigious "Contractor Grand Award," "Corporate Innovation Award," and "Professional Promotion Award." During the event, AluHouse Chairman Eric Kwong and Director Paul Law, together with team members, attended the awards ceremony.
